We are a family of four: Ernesto, Natalia, Camila and Matias.
Ernesto and Natalia are originally from Argentina but emigrated to Canada in 2000. They are both computer programmers who are now on a sabbatical to explore the world with their kids on a sailboat.
How did we get here?
For Ernesto it all started many years ago, when he was about 15 years old, and he read the book Dove by Robin L. Graham. The book is about a 16 year-old kid who sailed around the world and described the many experiences he went through. After reading that book, Ernesto decided he wanted to do that one day. He started sailing at that age and has been sailing pretty much since that time.
For Natalia, the story is different. She never thought about sailboats let alone sailing to any part of the world on her own. Until she met Ernesto. They talked and talked and talked about his dream until, eventually, it became her own dream as well.
Camila and Matias have been around sailboats since they were born, so they're pretty happy and comfortable in them.
What's the plan?
We'll go south and visit the Caribbean Islands all the way to Grenada.
